Was too early for me to have breakfast but Tracy this "hunger ghost" sure wanna had some food before hiking. Is good to get some food first also before hiking, if not, easily get fainted half way hiking.

The day still look dark but we already started to hike. Look so scary if came alone. Luckily everyone prepared torch light.

The day is getting brighter when we finally reached to one of the hill peak. Misu looked pale and felt unwell after reached the hill.

Basketball Final Game in Qatar 24th June 2009

Such a long time didn't come here to post my blog already. Very busy lately to clear up my work. Although i am busy with works but still we have our usual basketball games on. But sad to say that last wednesday was the last basketball game in Qatar.

As many of my friends know that i will soon leaving this country and go back to my country. The project in Qatar is almost come to the end now. Many of us are demobilize from this project by end of this month. So we decided to play our final game on that night.

From the picture shown below, they are my usual "kaki" for basketball games. All are japanese except me. Lol. So i take this opportunity to thanks to Obi-san, Karube-san, Tani-san, Yamada-san, Miyamoto-san and Sagae-san. They are my regular ball-mates, the rest are quite new in our team. Sorry forgetting your name. :P

That night was really great. That night had one of the most tired game after we played for 3 months there. We sweat alot. You can see we all dying on the bench from the pictures. This 2 men in black are my best buddies here. We are working in same department, sit in the same area, having same hobby (basketball). Gonna miss them soon.....

After the game, let us the take "Happy Family" photos for remembrance. ^^

After the game, we went to bar to charge up our enegry with beers!!! The first time i feel really good in beers specially after the sport. You can imagine your thirsty throat waiting the chilled beer flowing in. Wow......Hard to explain here.....hahahha....

Let's check out how many can of beer that we drank on that night???

First and Last trip to Site 27th June 2009

This is the first time i stepped into the site in the project that i working now and that is the last time also. Am i look excited in the picture? I also don't know why i look like that in the photo. SOooo ugly. Hahahaha....anyway, i already promise someone to post this photo in my blog so i need to keep my promise. :)

Look at the biggest valve behind me. Is 44" butterfly valve (ESDV). I heard my colleague said the installation of this valve is really difficult as the piping around that area limited them to lift the valve to that position. Hence, they need to use all the man power to to roll it into the pipe....Sigh......(is that mean the management is sucks there? never plan well before action?)..hehehe...i have no comment on that.

The background of the picture below is the LNG plant but still look like plenty of scaffolding need to dismantle. I don't know why everytime i take picture with this yellow coverall, i feel so uncomfortable when take the picture. My posture look so weird and i also wonder why i act like that......erm.....no idea.

Actually during this short trip visit to site, not many pictures we took. One of the reason is there are some restricted area prohibited for snapping pictures, and another reason is very funny one.

I asked obi, "do you want to take picture here?". He said "No, we will take it outside after finish the tour". Although i know we can take picture inside but he still refused. Then i said, "are you too shy to take pic here? You afraid too many workers around watching you?". So he just laughing and i know the answer is yes....Hahaha.....

Anyway, thanks you guys for arranging this special site tour for me. Special thanks to Karube, Obi and Sasaki-san. Hope to see u all again in the future. :)

Sayonara Farewell Dinner 25th June 2009

Thursday night after work went to korean restaurant for our SAYONARA dinner. This month end, there are total 5 of us leaving. (me, obi, sasaki, seguchi and daryll). Not much to talk about the dinner indeed. Just eat and drink there. Everyone of us take turns stand up to give a speech.

Actuall nothing to talk about the korean there since i found it not so impressed. Just normal, ok only. But still enjoy the atmosphere having dinner with them. Thanks for the dinner guys.

And not to forget to thank to my cameraman----Karube-san (a real funny guy). Does he look like Popeye? Hohohoho.......

My birthday in Qatar

Yesterday was my off day, also my BIG day. Well, quite happy for the whole day. At least, i didn't spend my time on my bed or watching drama in my room only. Lol.

Before i completely woke up, already heard my hp keep buzzing for incoming msgs. I knew my friends still remember my birthday....hahahha......To my surprise, many of them greeted me in facebook. Many of us nowadays too rely on facebook. Can't imagine what will happen if facebook suddenly disappear the next day. For me, it will be like lossing my phonebooks/contacts. Quite pity too.

Anyway, take this opportunity to thank all of you for the birthday wishes. Love u all. :P

In fact, not many activities on my BIG day. I got 2 plans indeed. Noon time went out with 2 singaporeans (Nick and Robin). We just went for lunch outside the camp, although the lunch not for my birthday celebration. Hahaha....anyway, i don't mind that. The purpose of going out is to buy food for my next plan.

My next plan after the lunch, was a drinking session with my japanese colleagues (my buddies in qatar). I bought them food and they bought me beverage. We had a great time chit-chatting and drinking at the bar for more than 4 hours. During that session, they really good drinkers and i know my limit, i know i can't catch up with them but to drink very slowly. Lucikly i am still sober in the end of the day. 4 hours is consider one of the longest time for me to have alcohol here. Normally 2-3 hours to consume liquors sure will make me tipsy. Really enjoy the great time with them. Special thanks to Obi, Karube, Sasaki and Seguchi-san. ^^ Having a photo session before we left.

p/s: Robin joined us for the drinking session after he finished his swimming.

No Title

Long time didn't update my blog here. Recently quite busy doing my work. Lot of documents need to be issued. Need to prepare all the documents + updates all the modification. Arghhh......

Well. Today finally can rest and relax a little bit as most of my tasks are completed. But still have nothing to tell in my blog. Lately my life still as boring as usual. My life = working life.

Now just trying to write something here before my BIG day arrive. Yes. My birthday is approaching. I think no one is aware of this if i don't mention here now. Well. This year really no plan to celebrate coz i am not in my homeland. No friends around me except my colleagues. So, i didn't expect much for my birthday. But deep in my heart, i always hoping everyone of you do remember and greet me. I hope all my friends come to greet me not because after read this post.

1st June!! Birthday Month! Last month in Qatar!!

Finally is June now. June means a lot to me especially this year. June is my birthday month. I should happy because my birthday is approaching. But too bad, i have to stay in Qatar for working. No friends will celebrate my birthday here. Maybe no one will remember that. Lol.

Anyway, this is not the first time no one celebrate my birthday. I used to it and never expect anyone will celebrate/remember my birthday this year. Sounds pity and sad huh......

But the good news is this is the last month i will stay in Qatar. Why? Because this project is almost come to an end and my contract here is done by end of June! My last day will be on 30th June and i will going back by 1st July. =)

So is time to count down my days to return...Yeah yeah.....29 days left......^^

Anxious day

Today i have 2 things to announce here...hehehe.....This morning just came to office, I received a mail from my boss that asked me when i finish my job and return to Malaysia.

Well....This is the question I am always looking for and bothering me all this while. (My contract have been extended twice already....sigh...) My contract is scheduled to finish the job by end of June and i am planning to submit the application form for demobilization by next week. Since this is a good excuse for me to submit the form earlier.

By the time I wanna get the signature from my manager, I am so worried that he will ask me to extend my work here again. This whole morning, i am so anxious and scared he will changed his mind again. Since he was so busy and couldn't catch him, I having this anxious feeling till noon.

Finally, i am able to get him to approve my application form. He is a bit surprise when saw me pass the form to him. He thought i will not demobilized that soon and i was worried he is changing his mind again. After he checked his manning plan, he finally signed and thanked me for my efforts on this project. Hehehe....finally, i am released now.....Hurray!!!!! From now on, I can start counting down my days to back home lor......=)

Second thing that make me anxious is that tonight will be an important night especially for every Man Utd fans.....Yes......Is Europe Champion League Final in Rome tonight!!! Luckily i am not in Malaysia now. I can watch the live match on TV here at 9.45pm (2.45am in Msia time). I still managed to catch the match without sacrify my sleeping time...hehehehehe.....As a Man Utd fan, sure i would like the watch my team to clinch and defend the title but I cant underestimate the talents from Barca.....I can't wait the time to come. Now can't even concentrate my work and just hoping to go home for the match. Lol.....Glory Man Utd!!!!

Basketball game and happy hour!!

Last thursday, I had an all japanese basketball game. Our project (QGX) team versus QCS team. All members are japanese except me. Lol....

Actually it was just a friendly match. In spite of my team is too good, handicap is given to opponent team. Every ball we threw is 2 points while they can have 3 points ( last quarter of the game they have 5 points for every successful threw).

Needless say, my team won the game. If i not mistaken, the final score was 88-51. After the game, we went for happy hour. Of course the drink was on the opponent's bill. Lol.

We had KFC and pizza as our dinner and from the picture below, you can see how much we drank during that night. Lol. One bottle of gin, 2 bottles of JDBL, and countless of beers. Before i left and excused myself, I remembered they ordered another bottle of JDBL for another round. I am not a good drinker so i left early after that.

Anyway, it was a happy day as we played a good game and nice gathering for chit-chating. Although i don't understand japanese and whole night they all speaking japanese to themselves, but i still happy to be with them as some of them still managed to speak to me in english. Hahahaha....Luckily i am not like an idiot just sitting at the corner, eat and drink alone. Hahaha. Hopefully i still able to attend several this kind of occasions before demobilize from this project by end of next month. :)

To complete this blog, let my buddies to show their funny faces here. Lol.....Enjoy reading!!! ;)

Dinner At Marriot Hotel, Doha

Last thursday went to dinner with my basketball mates in a restaurant located inside a 5-star hotel (Marriot Hotel in Doha). Before I went to the restaurant, i already expected that the bill for the dinner will be very expensive. Anyway, i will let you know how much we spent on that dinner at the end of this blog later.

This is the name of the restaurant (Asia Live)

Let us check the menu first. Wow..... QR 29 for just a bowl of misu soup. (Conversion QR1 is approximately to RM1). Tomyam soup also QR29.

Now this is really surprised me. Yong Chow Fried Rice is cost QR69!!! Nasi goreng and Singapore noodles also cost QR59 each. Unbeliveable!!!! I managed get the same dishes in malaysia for around RM6-10 a plate. Well. I can't deny that the quality of food is not below par but it isn't amazed me though. You can see the steamed rice can cost QR19. Although we didn't order that but i just wonder is it the rice cooked especially for VVIP? =='''

This is another part of the menu. Feel free take a look by yourself. Maybe i am poor, that's why i find it everything is expensive to me.

The picture below is not so clear and is taken by my colleague. I asked him to take this picture because wanna show to everyone how expensive the softdrink is. It is QR 18!!! and the Redbull is cost QR29!!!! Hahaha.....Really unexpected!!!!

Anyway, that day, there are total 7 of us. Before i reached the place, they already ordered and i just went there to eat....Lol. When the dishes are served, i just realized they ordered 2 set for each dishes. If i not mistaken, let me list down what we ordered on that night.

1) Seafood springroll - 2 set (appetizer)
2) 2 different set of sushi - 2 set (which mean total 4 set)
3) Yong Chow fried rice - 2 set
4) Singapore noodle - 2 set
5) Sweet n sour prawns - 2 set
6) Sesame prawns - 2 set
7) fish - 2 set (can't recall the name)
8) Greentea ice-cream - 4 set (this is the best ice-cream i ever had so far) ^^
9) Countless beers (they are really good drinkers)

From the picture shown below, u can see a fork lying on the singapore noodle. That already cost you QR59. You can imagine the plate size and the cost of it. Sigh. This is my first time to take a very fine dinner like this. *Sorry for not taken the pictures before we started our dinner as i don't have camera but my hp only. My hp is out of battery by that time. So i requested my colleague to take the picture for me*

Ding Ding Ding! THis is the green tea ice cream that i mentioned just now. I haven't have chance to take the picture before everyone start eating. Hahahaha....The picture shown it might not be look that delicious but indeed it really taste good. Really smooth enough and you seem not like eating "ice" but a smooth tasty creamy green tea. Hahaha....i am not good in english. hard to elaborate. In short, is delicious!!!

Ok. Now is time to announce how much we spent on this dinner.....Ding ding ding ding.......It is QR2444!!!!!

Before we left, my colleague purposely took this picture for remembrance in the toilet. =='''

Complex feeling

Today is 12th May. Another one month from today will be my "2x"th birthday. Sigh. This will be the 2nd time I need to celebrate my birthday alone outside Malaysia. Every year i never expect any celebration for my birthday. A bit sad. I am always hoping a lot of friends remember my birthday and celebrate with me but in vain.

Anyway, that is just part of my complex feeling today. Sigh. Still have 1 and half month to stay in Qatar for the project. Hopefully i can finish it on time and go back to KL as per schedule. I don't want to extend again and again for this project. Getting bored now. Sigh. I am just wondering when i can return to KL. The submission date for those deliverables are postponed again. Shit. No one can assure my demobilization date, neither my boss nor my manager here.

Now i don't know how to spend the time here. Counting down the day to back now but it seem very slow. Seem long way to go. Still have 7 weeks= 49 days = 1176 hours before pack up my stuffs to go home. Somemore i know many of my friends and family waiting me. I really miss them. Hopefully my next project won't ask me to go outstation for long period again as I really will get home sick.

My Watch from Doha Shopping

Yesterday I went to shopping again with my buddies (Obi and Karube-san). Initially 3 of us planned to buy our new basketball shoes as our current shoes are harshly damaged due to the rough surface of the basketball court.

In fact, i am still considering whether to buy a new one or not. Basketball shoe is not cheap, at least RM200 and above. I still have 2 months staying in Qatar for the project which mean i have that period to play basketball with them only. After i back to Malaysia, i don't think i will continue playing this sport as i have no "kaki" to join me. All my ex-mates are become "uncles" already and i don't think they want to play this kind of "extreme" sport. Lol.

Anyway, my dude (Obi) managed to get his new shoe (AND1) but Karube-san not able to get his new shoe. Actually i have tempted to get a new pair for myself but both of us failed to get one due to the limited choices there. Sigh.

Although i didn't manage to get new shoe, but i ended up buy a new watch for myself! :P Actually i have this desire to get myself a G-Shock since i was young. But i was poor and not able to get this kind of luxury stuff.

And finally i can have an ivory G-Shock. Yeah Yeah!!!! There is some normal standard functions in this watch such as alarm, stopwatch, countdown timer and world time. The interesting function within the watch is auto-on the backlight. Normally the backlight will emit when u press the button from the watch manually. But this watch can let you to set it to auto mode for the backlight. When it is in auto mode, you just need to twist your wrist to take a look on the watch. The backlight will automatically emitted. It sounds interesting and fun to me. :)

Here are the pictures for my new collection. I like black and white colour. This is my second luxury watches for myself. My first one is Seiko which is in black. Hehehehehe.....
